Company offers waste bids via the Internet

FAIRFAX, VA. -- A new company offers bids for waste service through a site on the World Wide Web. WasteBid.com was started by Gershman, Brickner & Bratton Inc., of Fairfax, Va., a 20-year-old solid waste management consulting firm. The venture offers haulers the opportunity to bid for customers who e-mail their waste handling and recycling needs.
