FAIRFAX, Va. - A new site for retail outlets to solicit and receive competitive service bids for trash collection services was announced earlier this month.

WasteBid.com announced that it was available for the national signup of commercial waste generators. The company said that retail outlet managers can go online to describe their solid waste needs and level-of-service requirements and receive competitive bids from trash haulers in the area.

The company also announced that retailers will soon be able to have recycling opportunities evaluated by WasteBid.com's "smart engine," which acts as an online consulting service to help evaluate and reduce trash costs.
